Georgina Clapham (b.1993, United Kingdom) is a painter and printmaker currently based in Los Angeles. Clapham received an MFA in Fine Art from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles (2025) and a BA (Hons) from Glasgow School of Art in Scotland (2016). Influenced by archetypal figures found in history, fantasy, folklore, and celebrity and mass culture, Clapham combines the traditional media of drawing, painting, and printmaking as she explores the perception of icons through time and media. Clapham’s work unpacks the production of desire through advertising and fashion, as she looks at the way in which certain symbols are kept alive through endless reconfigurations and popular narratives.
