Paige Emery is an artist, herbalist, musician, and plant dreamer exploring ways of remembering the Earth through conduits of catalytic ritual. Her work interweaves healing rituals and critical ecology, ancestral memory, embodied futurities, ecopoetics, and socioenvironmental praxis. Based in Los Angeles, Emery’s work has taken shape through multitudes of entangled forms including plant paintings alchemized through herbalism, art installations, sound pieces, performance lectures, plant rituals, and tea ceremonies.
Banana blossom ceremonial cloth (night version) is a hand-painted and hand-sewn ceremonial textile that can be used as desired—place personal and sacred objects on top of it when assembling an altar or preparing for a ritural...or display it like a painting, either framed or simply pinned to the wall.
