Leather painting comes from the crossroads of histories steeped in both punk rock and cowboy culture—all places lydon frank lettuce has dwelled in across their artistic career. Based in rural Pennsylvania, lettuce is an artist and writer using transdisciplinary modes of performance and play to interrogate the tensions within language–seeking to destabilize the boundaries of belonging inherent in social structures of violence while maintaining the (im)possibilities of pleasure (physics).

These hand-painted Italian leather gloves proverbially lasso those moments while considering the queer magic of illusions and ephemera. These gloves feel the wavelengths of wanting to touch and what touches us back.
